Music legend Rick Springfield makes a wildly unexpected appearance as Dr. Pitlor, Caspere's psychiatrist who treated him for a number of mental maladies. With a pair of sunglasses evoking an undeniable Andy Warhol vibe and a creepily calm demeanour, he started out as one of the show's more suspicious characters, re-appearing later when Ray attacked him for information, and finally, his body is discovered by Ani in his office, having been staged to look like a suicide in order to "tie up loose ends". Props to Springfield, though, he did a fine job playing a sleazy, thoroughly off-putting character.
