David Morse gave a brief-but-memorable performance as Ani's father Elliot in season two, a yoga lecturer who has a complicated and unconventional relationship with his daughter. His hippie attitude primarily functions as comic relief, and in easily his finest moment, tells Ray, "Excuse me, you have one of the largest auras I've ever seen. Green and black. It's been taking up this whole room. I just... had to say something. You must have had hundreds of lives", to which Ray replies, "I don't think I can handle another one." Whether you believe in the supernatural or not, it's a hilarious implication of the vibe Ray gives off, and that perhaps, in some form, he's been walking the earth for thousands of years (which would explain a few things).
