9. Ray Agrees To Never See His Son Again (Episode 6)
One of the most brutal moments from this season didn't involve any violence whatsoever, but Ray begging his ex-wife not to tell their son Chad of his true parentage, if it turns out that he was in fact the product of rape rather than Ray's son. She agrees after he promises to leave their lives forever, in a heartbreaking moment of TV that makes it hard not to feel for the poor guy, no matter the terrible acts he's committed. Of course, Ray ends up breaking this promise in the season finale, but given the outcome of his predicament, that sorta took care of itself...
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
