Due to premiere sometime in the autumn on American network "Showtime", the as-of-yet untitled "Halo" TV series will see Steven Spielberg serve as executive producer of the live-action show. Aside from Microsoft revealing that the military-science-fiction show will be released just before the "Halo 5: Guardians" video game comes out, almost little-to-nothing is known about it. However, it is believed to have a budget value close to HBO's Game of Thrones. Fans of the hit video game will be excited that the franchise is branching into TV. The Selling Point: Halo has been a hit first-person-shooter video-game franchise - so it is almost guaranteed to have countless interest as a military science-fiction series. Also, if Steven Spielberg is willing to be involved, then this is a project with some serious clout behind it. The Concerns: Can Halo really be translated on to TV screens as a series, or is it merely just a first-person shooter and should it simply remain as such?
