Another Walking Dead alum that you may have forgotten turned up in The X-Files universe years before he appeared on the Frank Darabount (well, at the time) zombie show. Jeffrey DeMunn is well known as Dale from The Walking Dead, but in 1998 he portrayed the Syndicate doctor Bronschweig in the first X-Files feature film, sometimes referred to as Fight the Future, or simply The X-Files. In the film, Bronschweig was the man sent into a cave site in Texas where a young lad had fallen in through a caved in ceiling only to be infected by the black oil (carrying an alien virus). That sparked a gestation period where a fully formed alien creature formed inside the boy. When Bronschweig attempted to test the syndicate's vaccine against the black oil on the infected boy, he was met instead with a newborn but still vicious alien which tore him to shreds - but not before his counterparts above had already begun burying him alive with the creature. It was a small but pivotal role in the film, and DeMunn played it perfectly.
