Imagine a scenario where The Big Bang Theory cast actually get their own way and are made superheroes charged with saving the world, only without the crippling neurosis and social awkwardness and you might have some idea of what CBS's genius team-up is about. Written by Nick Santora (Prison Break) Scorpion follows an eccentric genius and his international network of super-geniuses - like a nerdy Charlie's Angels presumably - as they protect the world against the complex threats of the modern age. The Selling Point: It's sounds like a nerdy Avengers, which can only be a good thing. And the cast is genius. Jennifer Lopez might not seem a particularly bankable prospect these days, but she's a big enough draw for NBC to have skipped the pilot stage for this intriguing sounding dirty cop show about a corrupt single mother officer who is recruited to work undercover for the FBIs anti-corruption task force. Forced to choose between her protected life, or turning rat on her corrupt brothers, Lopez's character will face trials and tribulations with pressure closing in from all angles. The Selling Point: Corrupt cop TV shows have a history of success. The Concerns: It's a complex requirement for Lopez, and hopefully we can see some of her early promise return, which Ryan Seacrest (the producer) seems convinced of already.
