31 Hottest New TV Shows Currently In Production

22. Z Nation

So it was only a matter of time before The Asylum decided to shift their attention to TV shows, and Z Nation is clearly their attempt to recapture the appeal of The Walking Dead, following the "success" of the likes of Sharknado. The show will apparently "take viewers where no zombie has gone before" and add "a sense of hope to the horror of the apocalypse €” our everyday heroes take the fight to the zombies.€ Don't expect originality, but maybe expect entertainment in a similar vein to Sharknado. The Selling Point: No matter how saturated the market, zombies are good TV people. The Concerns: It's being made by The Asylum, so it's probably going to have to be the worst bad-good show ever to succeed in even ironic terms.

21. The Odd Couple (Sept 2014)

The Odd Couple Considering Chandler Bing's aversion to sports, it's odd to see Matthew Perry - who also develops this latest adaptation of the play - follow up his last major TV show appearance, as a sports talk radio host in Go On, with another sports related role. But that is the conceit behind his version of Oscar Maddison, whose best friend Felix Ungar (Thomas Lennon) is forced to move in with him. Cue hi-jinx, as one is a sporting slob and the other a fastidious nerd. The Selling Point: Matthew Perry deserves a really good post-Friends show with a good run, and the play has already proved fruitful. The Concerns: Let's hope we're not looking at the next Two And A Half Men.
