32 WTF Moments From Marvel's Jessica Jones

19. Costumed Antics

Whilst Episode 5 gave us the awesome sight of Jessica Jones dressed up as a giant hoagie and saving a child from getting hit by a car, the episode also poked some fun at the titular character€™s comic book persona of Jewel. Jewel was a moniker Jessica took on during a time that she was pally pally with The Avengers, and Trish references the name here when suggesting a superhero costume for Jessica to take on; a suggestion that would be shot down. Nothing more would come of the Jewel mantle here, and this was seemingly just a cheeky Easter egg for Marvel fanboys to enjoy.

18. Prison Talk

Again, another piece of brilliant dialogue for the show and a line that wouldn€™t feel out of place in a Quentin Tarantino movie. When Jessica pays Sissy a prison visit after she€™d attacked Hope, the super-powered Jones€™ strong arm techniques don€™t sit well with the prisoner. With an arm tied up behind her back, Sissy swiftly states, €œB*tch, be careful messing with my digits. I€™ve got ladies to satisfy.€ Whilst this a great line of dialogue, it was also the €˜in€™ to a far darker tale as it€™s revealed Hope paid Sissy to attack her because she was pregnant with Kilgrave€™s baby and wanted to force a miscarriage.
