One of the biggest stand out features of Love, Death and Robots is the truly stunning animation. The show covers a variety of styles by the one endorsed by 'Shapeshifters' leaves it a cut above the rest. The modernised computer graphic animation has a stunning sense of realism to it and manages to move beyond the confines of live action filming.

This episode is set in Afghanistan, where American forces have werewolves amongst their ranks to help fight in the war. The werewolves are not fully respected by the normal human soldiers however, and are generally outcast from the ranks. But, when it's discovered that the enemy also has a werewolf, it leads to a bloody and graphic fight scene which is possibly the best from the entire series.

The imaginative narrative, graphic violence, character development and satisfying conclusion all collaborate to make 'Shapeshifters' one of the best episodes from Love, Death and Robots.
