2. Boardwalk Empire
Now I'm sure Boardwalk has plenty of fans but because it's on HBO, it isn't available to everyone. Boardwalk Empire is just a beautiful show. I don't know how else to put it. Don't get me wrong, it's a show based on crime, bootlegging, whores, and murder but it's just so cinematically beautiful. Every episode feels like it's own mini movie that you can't wait to watch. The show centers around Nucky Thompson and his quest to attempt to remain atop the Atlantic City hierarchy. He's a well respected bootlegger who's trying to expand his empire, and of course that doesn't come without complications. Nucky has no shortage of enemies as everyone is after him trying to bring him down and steal his business in the process. One of the evolving characters is Al Capone who's currently on Nucky's side. With the fourth season in full swing, I can't wait to see how this plays out. This show alone is enough to pay an extra couple bucks for HBO. If you can't, then stream it from somewhere because let me tell you, it's incredible.
