5 Darkest Black Mirror Moments (So Far)

3. A Woman's Consciousness Gets Trapped Inside A Stuffed Animal

Black Museum was one hell of a rough episode. It was hard to pick the most tragic character within the three main stories, but in the end Carrie took the gold.

From the moment Rolo Haynes introduced the idea of inserting her consciousness into her husband's head, it was clear this could only end poorly. And sure enough: Carrie eventually wakes up inside a stuffed monkey, unable to communicate with anyone, except through two buttons by her side that can only say "monkey loves you!" and "monkey needs a hug."

Her husband moves on, her son forgets about her, and she ends up spending the rest of her time trapped inside a glass box by the man who put her in this predicament to begin with.

It's debatable as to whether Carrie's story is as bad as the other two tragic figures in her episode, but what stands out with her is her inability to communicate. At least the convict was able to express himself, as terrible as his situation might be. The idea of having all of your agency taken away from you, even something as basic as being able to speak, is the element that makes her story all the more devastating.

Matthew Black hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
