3. The Stuck-Up, By-the-Book Worker (Dwight Schrute/Frank Burns)

Dwight-Schrute The Stuck Up, By the Book Worker is often the target of pranks by his co-workers, particularly the Attractive Witty Lead Man. He does not respond kindly to these pranks, despite maintaining that he has a normal sense of humor. He has a strong sense of pride in his work, but dreams of climbing the ladder and subjecting his many co-workers. He leaps at any chance to distinguish himself, again in order to aid his scaling of the ladder. The Office... has Dwight Schrute in the second-in-command position in Dunder Mifflin. He has no social skills and very little common sense, but is somehow able to impress the higher-ups which lead to his position. However, nearly everyone is aware he should not be given a higher spot. M*A*S*H... has Frank Burns in the second-in-command position of the 4077th MASH unit (he ranks as a Major, just under Colonel Henry Blake, and just above Captain Hawkeye Pierce).
