5 Returning TV Shows That Improved This Season and 5 That Got Worse

1. Saturday Night Live Season 38

SNL-38x03_banner Maybe this doesn't really belong on the list because it isn't a fictional drama or a comedy series like the others, but I needed to point out how bad this show has become. Why I continue to watch it, I really do not know, because honestly I really haven't laughed all season. Kristen Wiig really was the only reason I stuck around for the show last season and now that she is gone any magic that the show once had has completely gone with her. This show is as funny as the sketch show sections in the short lived Aaron Sorkin show "Studio 60" and if you watched that show you'll now exactly what I mean by that. It is as if the writers at the show have given up, and I am now embarrassed for the celebrity hosts it manages to get host the show. The only cast members that I actually find funny anymore on the show are Bill Hader and the newbies Kate McKinnon and Cecily Strong, but not even those three combined make up one Kristen Wiig. And is it just me, or does it look like Jason Sudeikis really isn't haven't a good time on the show anymore. He should have left last year when the show still had something going for it. Kill the show already. Remember, opinions are opinions and I welcome you all to disagree with me. I would really be interested to hear your take on these shows and like I said at the beginning, if your favorite show is missing and you think it deserves a place on this list, please tell me below in the comments section, I will try my best to reply back to any questions you offer. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to all of you...

I am a recent Screenwriting for Film and Television graduate from the UK. I am an unashamed geek who loves everything Marvel, and anything Joss Whedon has ever touched (except for maybe Alien Resurrection and Titan A.E). My current favorite TV shows are Breaking Bad, Family Guy, House of Cards, Game of Thrones, American Horror Story, Homeland and Glee. I look forward to debating things with all of you in the future. (As of January 2013 I have had over 1 million views since joining WhatCulture in September 2012. You can reach me at danieljamesbowen@hotmail.co.uk)
