5 Returning TV Shows That Improved This Season and 5 That Got Worse

4. Glee Season 4

Bare in mind before you start whining that the inclusion of Glee on this list "invalidates the whole list" that this is a list of shows that have improved this year from their last year, not the Top 5 shows of the year. This inclusion was a difficult one, but I think Glee deserves its spot here because of the difficult task it had going into Season 4. Most shows that start off in High School, Buffy The Vampire Slayer and The O.C to name two famous examples, had their worst years in the forth season when their characters jetted off to university. Though this season of Glee has been far from smooth sailing, compare the first 9 episodes of Season 4 with Season 3 and I think Season 4 comes out on top, with two stunning episodes "The Break Up" and "Swan Song" as examples of this. The new cast members have arguably been a little lackluster although they all have had their moments, and I would personally prefer the creators to flesh out the New York scenes just a little bit more, but overall Glee has been lucky so far in Season 4, and has managed the almost impossible and made what could have been disastrous TV highly watchable.

I am a recent Screenwriting for Film and Television graduate from the UK. I am an unashamed geek who loves everything Marvel, and anything Joss Whedon has ever touched (except for maybe Alien Resurrection and Titan A.E). My current favorite TV shows are Breaking Bad, Family Guy, House of Cards, Game of Thrones, American Horror Story, Homeland and Glee. I look forward to debating things with all of you in the future.
