5 Science Fiction Television Shows That Deserve A Reboot

2. The Outer Limits

1960s-television-series-T-006 Due to the success of The Twilight Zone in the 1950s, many networks wanted anthology style shows. Along with Night Gallery, One Step Beyond, and Thriller, The Outer Limits took control of transmission. Where The Twilight Zone worked in many genres, The Outer Limits was, mostly, based in science fiction. Airing from 1963 to 1965, with a new series from 1995 to 2002, the show has proven to be popular. Though the last series lasted quite a long time, the ratings were never that great, but Charlie Brooker€™s recent series Black Mirror confirms what I€™ve said for years: anthologies can be popular again if done right. Make it a tad bit darker, and a little edgy, with plenty of uneasy suspense, and audiences might go for it again. Maybe not as dark as Black Mirror though. Get Paul Abbot (Shameless, State Of Play), Chris Carter (X-Files, Harsh Realm), or even JJ Abrams (Lost, Fringe, Cloverfield) to head up a pilot episode, and go from there.
