5 TV Romances We Just Couldn't Understand (& 5 We Completely Bought)

8. Tim & Dawn, The Office UK (Completely Bought)

DEXTER ROMANCE
BBC

Ricky Gervais has a knack for writing the real. He understands true emotions and the romantic elements of longing and wanting someone. Most of his work has examples of romance, passion and you guessed it, unrequited love. But it is The Office that does this most spectacularly.

Tim and Dawn are without a doubt the best television romance of all time. The worst thing about it was that we only got two seasons of them but in retrospect, this is probably another reason why it worked so well. In fact, this is probably why Jim and Pam of the USA version just didn't quite replicate the authenticity of Tim and Dawn because audiences had a few more seasons to get to know them and then get bored.

Not only is the relationship incredibly heart wrenching but it also resonates with a lot of people, who during the Christmas special, all began screaming at the television because they had once been in that situation too.
