2. Community Season 4
Dan Harmon called it an impression, and an unflattering one. I cant argue with the guy on that one. Season 4 of Community took the parts of the show that everybody loved the witty parodies that actually had a point and Abeds oddness, among others and exploited them. For a comedy, it did a pretty terrible job of actually being funny for almost half of the season. I dont think I laughed until episode 3. Dont get me wrong, there were good episodes Alternative History of the German Invasion and Economics of Marine Biology stick out in particular but, on the whole, the season was a disappointment. But if it wasnt for these episodes, as well as Jim Rashs incredible and consistent portrayal of the Dean, the season would have been a complete waste of time. And that puppet episode. That awful puppet episode. It was one of the worst episodes of a good TV show that I think Ive ever seen, and it taints my view of the entire season.
