5 TV Shows That Should Have Been Cancelled Years Ago

2. Midsomer Murders (1997 €“ Present)

A murder mystery series that started in early 1997, Midsomer Murders followed Tom Barnaby, played by John Nettles (who was last year replaced by Neil Dudgeon, who plays John Barnaby, the younger cousin of Tom Barnaby), solving murders in the fictitious county of Midsomer. My friends and I have come to affectionately call the programme €˜Midsomer Massacres€™ due to the excessive amount of murder victims. In each episode there are, on average, around three murder victims. So this works out as 273 murder victims over fifteen series, slightly ridiculous if you ask me. Let€™s be serious, how many middle class people go mental and kill their neighbours in idyllic country villages because once upon a time they did something a little seedy they don€™t want anyone else to know about? Exactly. The worst part of the show, however, has to be Joyce Barnaby, John Nettles€™ onscreen wife. Stop being so wet and let your husband solve the tenth murder of the week! A comic element of the show is the fact that the same actors star in the show in different episodes, as different characters. There are enough working actors for you not to have to recycle. In short fifteen years is more than long enough to see the same people get murdered over and over again.

Esme Holloway hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
