4. Episodes
If, like me, you thought Matt LeBlancs career was over following the conclusion of Friends, you need to see Episodes. Playing an over exaggerated version of himself, LeBlanc feels right at home. Actors playing themselves can be quite dodgy territory, but when executed well, its something to admire. But perhaps the best thing about this series is Tamsin Greig and Stephen Mangan: both are terrific comedic actors and their timing is impeccable. By upping the emotional stakes in series two, were given some depth to the characters and a reason to root for them. LeBlanc acts as a background catalyst in this instance, despite being at the centre of their issues. This allows Greig and Mangan to showcase their ability, the greatest strength of the show. A third season will be begin airing in the new year and if received as warmly as the second, the show could be open for a whole range of possibilities. Its been hinted at before, but possibly a Friends cameo?
