5 Under-Appreciated TV Shows You Should Be Watching

Him&Her You know what really grinds my gears? TV. Now don't get me wrong, I'm one of those guys that loves to watch a lot of TV. Some of it is that really mainstream rubbish like Two And A Half Men, though I tend to avoid that whenever possible, like most people. But the thing that gets me is that some of those amazing shows aren't able to make that jump into the mainstream. I was offended to hear that none of my friends had ever heard of Arrested Development. And I mean seriously, that's like the best comedy ever. Totes. These shows are hidden gems, ones you really ought to be watching. They'll never have the audience of tripe such as Two And A Half Men, but they have much more loyal fans, and at the end of the day, are just so much better.

5. Archer

archer2 I€™m not usually one to avidly follow animated programs: shows such as Family Guy and The Simpsons are good to watch, but you could easily afford to miss a bunch of episodes, such is their nature, as there€™s no running storyline. With Archer on the other hand, you get a sense that the every episode is building towards something. More of a cult hit, Archer has yet to cross over into a general TV audience, in a similar vein to Arrested Development. Whereas that show may have a stronger fan base with stars Jason Bateman and Michael Cera attached to it, Archer has yet to make that connection. Speaking from my own experience, hardly anyone I know has ever heard of Archer, let alone watched an episode or two. It€™s a shame really: the premise is original, the cast is solid, the story is engaging, the humour is natural and endless. Archer has everything going for it, in all it needs is to cross over into a mainstream audience and its status is secure.
