5 Ways Sherlock Has Proved To Be More Human In Season 3

1. The Best Man Speech

I think every lady who listened to Sherlock€™s speech swooned a bit. To be honest, it was phenomenal, especially when we were all expecting such a trainwreck. This was also a time when we saw that Sherlock knows how hard he is to deal with, and appreciates the people who have stuck around him, because no one really has. That was the point of the Best Man speech €“ not to show John not just how good of a man he is, anyone could do that €“ but to show him how good of a man he is in Sherlock€™s eyes. Also, the regard that he gives Mary, despite the fact that she was coming between the only friendship he€™s ever had, shows that he's come a far way from the Blind Banker. The fact that he helped with the wedding plans, making sure no old flames come up, or that Mary isn€™t seated near anyone who doesn€™t like her, allows us to see how much Sherlock is willing to put past to make John happy. Not only would someone like Sherlock normally completely disregard the importance of a wedding, but two seasons ago, would he even have attended, let alone make sure the bride and groom were happy? We got to see a bit of Sherlock slip back into who he was, when he€™s confused about the emotions he sees from the crowd, thinking he did something wrong, and ordering them to cheer up before moving on. We wouldn€™t want Sherlock to stay completely human €“ no of course not, otherwise the Sherlock fandom would stage a coup de tat. What else do you see that makes Sherlock more human this series? I'm currently attending my local college while trying to figure out who I am. I love Doctor Who, Sherlock, really any BBC show. I've also been told I'm a bit of a nerd. Specifically, a theatre nerd.
