With Star Labs being largely known for its expertise in metahuman research and having at one point even produced a meta cure, it is a little surprising that Caitlin and Cisco have not been called in to help on the greenlight problem in Freeland.

Its understandable that an incredibly corrupt organization like the ASA might not want to share it's information with a third party, especially one associated with a do-gooder like Flash, but Lynn is a different story. She genuinely wants to do everything she can to help those kids and in a world where Star Labs exists and is at the top of that kind of research, it is questionable that she chose not to reach out.

Flipping that around, the Freeland situation has been all over the news, so it's equally questionable that Star Labs has not been investigating the issue on their own. Granted they have the excuse of Barry's imminent death weighing on them for the first half of this season, but the pod kids have been a known issue for at least a year. They've had time to look into it and apparently have not.
