http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVRQK58jrbw Merchant bankers are relatively easy targets, but merchant bankers who employ pantomime horses are less frequent a topic in comedy. This sketch is perfectly cast, something the Pythons were known for, simply because as actors they checked their egos at the door. John Cleese is great as the Merchant Banker with a smile like a shark and a total disregard for human decency who also doesn't think it is ridiculous to be firing a pantomime horse. Terry Jones is also brilliant as the put upon charity man who oozes sympathy with every word he says about helping the orphans. The second part of the sketch is where Python show their flair for the ridiculous with the pantomime horses having to compete in order to still be employed by Slater-Nazi Merchant Banks. Only Python could make these two seemingly incompatible ideas work together in sync so well.
