6 Major Daredevil And Jessica Jones Reveals From New York Comic Con
3. Romance For Luke Cage And Jessica Jones
In the comic books, Luke Cage and Jessica Jones embark on a romantic relationship and ultimately end up getting married and having a baby (who may or may not be a Skrull depending on whether or not Brian Michael Bendis ever bothers to go back and address that Secret Invasion plot hole). Don't get too excited about seeing that play out in this series just yet though; it was confirmed at the panel that while romance is most definitely on the cards for these two at some point in the future, they're really only in the very early stages of their relationship in Jessica Jones, with Luke's role in that series much smaller than expected; Mike Colter even confirmed that most of his scenes are with Krysten Ritter and not the rest of the cast, so he clearly isn't going to have a major presence throughout the thirteen episodes. That's actually far from a bad thing, especially when Luke is going to be starring in a series of his own this time next year and will have plenty of time then to get the spotlight. Marvel taking their time to build this relationship in a natural and believable way is another plus, as it would be disappointing to see it rushed simply in a bid to match up with the comics and make some fans happy. It's also worth noting that Jessica shouldn't and doesn't need to be defined by who her boyfriend is in this series. She's a great character in her own right, so taking things slow will ultimately be for the best.
