6 Perfect Settings For The Next Star Wars Animated Shows

Noting that Mark Hamill is an accomplished voice actor, it seems more than possible that he will be tapped to reprise his role as Luke Skywalker in his prime in an animated series. If set to immediately follow the events of Return of The Jedi it would not only introduce a new generation to Luke Skywalker as a hero but satisfy the fans of the original series who were disappointed by the sequels not having featured enough of him.

Such a series could easily take place in the five years prior to Mandalorian, covering the period following the destruction of the Death Star. A series with this setting could follow a still young and adventurous Luke who is just beginning his efforts to rebuild the Jedi Order as the fledgling New Republic fights to rid the galaxy of the remnants of the Empire.

Stylistically a show like this could be made to resemble the classic trilogy and would be quite a treat to see brought to life. A choice of this particular era would also have the added benefit of longevity and flexibility as the series could take place over many years or even make several time jumps. This would free it from the timeline constraints that the animated shows have historically suffered from. Not being hamstrung by the films it could go in almost any direction that it wanted.

There is some evidence to support this as one of two possibilities. Cosmicbook.news reported that a disgruntled former Disney employee had dumped a number of leaks onto 4chan, one of which indicated that a Mark Hamill led Star Wars animated New Jedi Order series was in development. As with all such rumors it’s to be taken with a grain of salt and details can obviously not be trusted even if parts of the leak turn out to be true. Having said that, it does lend a higher level of likelihood to this potential setting along with one other.

Early Ray Mixon hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
