6 Ups & 5 Downs From Doctor Who Series 12

4. The Overall Series Quality Vastly Improved

Series 11 was a mish-mash of the incredible, to the out-right terrible. Episodes such as Rosa and Demons of the Punjab showcased just how good Doctor Who still was. Conversely, episodes such as Arachnids in the UK and The Tsuranga Conundrum showed how aged and tired the show had become after 55 years on-air.

However, Series 12 was much more solid throughout. Though not a sparkling series from beginning to end, the average quality of the episodes compared to series 11 was much higher. Orphan 55 was a dud, and Praxeus had its moments, but the series could quite comfortably be viewed as 'not awful.' No, it's not one of the best series of NuWho, or of the show overall, but it's a damn good change to the roller coaster of quality we had back in 2018.
