7 Anime Perfect For Halloween

This one is going to be a literal nightmare. Running only four episodes long, Corpse Party takes everything you’re afraid of and beats you over the head with it. Based on the equally horrifying video game, after performing what is supposed to be a friendship charm for a classmate who’s going to transfer to another school, a group of schoolmates are swallowed up by an apparent earthquake and wake up in Heavenly Host Elementary School. A lovely card and gift would’ve probably been better than the charm.

Split up and attempting to escape, the group encounter several ghosts including a mysterious girl in red and the undead former schoolteacher who allegedly cut out the tongues of four children before murdering them. That’s only the beginning. With the ghosts, the undead murderer, and sometimes each other getting in between a school of death and freedom, these kids definitely wish they had thrown a going away party instead.

Filled with more blood and guts than a Saw movie, Corpse Party should only be watched if your sanity is fine and your stomach is empty.
