For a casual viewer, keeping up with Game Of Thrones' sprawling story is something of a challenge. Four seasons in and with large portions of the cast still miles from a conclusion, one could be forgiven for liberating themselves of seemingly superfluous plot points to make way for the inundation of new characters we are introduced to each week. However the past few episodes have shown the importance of keeping at least somewhat au fait with the larger Game Of Thrones universe. Lisa Arryn, Yara Greyjoy, Hotpie, The Mountain and Salladhor Saan have all returned to the screen after months absent. With little-to-no reintroduction, the show's writers are somewhat expectant of the audience to remember these characters and accept their reestablishment without too much time wasting exposition. Whilst some characters have the luxury of having their actions relaid in conversation by others - Mance Rayder through Jon Snow, The Mountain through Tywin Lannister and Myrcella through Cersei - others have unfortunately seemed to have vanished from the face of Westeros.
