7 Ideas For The New Arrowverse Show In 2020
3. Constantine And Pals
After NBC prematurely cancelled Constantine, the character looked like he'd finally been trapped in limbo with his future completely uncertain. Fortunately, the Arrowverse was able to offer him a saving grace when he was weaved into Arrow in its fourth season to retrieve the soul of a recently resurrected Sara Lance. Constantine's appearance was a bright spot in an otherwise incredibly dull season of television, but it wasn't until the third season of Legends of Tomorrow that his own resurrection was entirely confirmed.
Constantine has swooned fans in his on-going stint on Legends, bringing a refreshing sardonic wit to counter the happy-go-lucky tone of the show, as well as some welcome representation through his bisexuality. The show has also proven that, as much as he may like to work alone, Constantine is best enjoyed with the company of others. So why not branch off with his own team?
Despite Legends having more supernatural elements than one should ever have to expect from a premise based on time-travel, a new team - that I'll tentatively call "Constantine and Pals" - of exclusively supernatural characters in a more grounded setting would do wonders for the variety of the Arrowverse (and the CW now that Supernatural is finally ending). The team could easily adopt the likes of Deadman and Zatanna as they would require no more special effects than what the CW have already shown that they're capable of.
Legends has already made the supernatural in this world highly entertaining, so why not keep the ball rolling?
