4. Too Sexy For Kids TV
We're not really sure what to say about this clip from Russian kids TV. Just look at who she's dancing with and then take a look at what she's actually wearing, or rather NOT wearing! Those curves would be better placed in a lads mag not on kids TV grinding up and down sans bra. Sadly we're not sure who the female singer is in the video but we do know the song is about losing your virginity, although we're reassured the themes are covered up by clever word play in the lyrics. What a relief. Despite the high level of inappropriateness within this clip it's still better than half the crap i used to see on Saturday morning pop music shows as a kid here in the UK. Surely somebody somewhere at the Concerned Children's Advertsiers PSA realised the double meaning of the lyrics? Since the early nineties Concerned Children's Advertisers has produced over 40 public service announcements that address such issues as substance abuse, child abuse, bullying, and healthy active living. Surprisingly they are really popular in Canada. Over here though they just make adverts for kids that have smutty double entendres. That probably says more about us than it does them. 2. God only knows how this show ever made it onto television back in the 1980s but there's absolutely no way it would ever be shown again. Starring a guy named Fergie Oliver, Just Like Mom was a bizarre Canadian game show that featured the host leeching over very young girls (aged around 11) and trying to convince them to give him a "hug and a kiss". We're not for a moment suggesting that the host in any way enjoyed carrying out these segments but we think that the audio that gets picked up where one girl calls him a "dirty old man" sums the whole thing up really. This entire show is just uncomfortable and you have to wonder who came up with this and what they're doing now!
