7 Late Introduced TV Characters Who Totally Stole The Show
6. Ben Wyatt - Parks & Recreation
Parks & Recreation was one of those shows that you thought would decline in quality but never really did. That was in large part because of the wide cast that all committed themselves to the roles that they played and the material that they were given.
The first season of the show was more a stepping off point for Leslie Knope and over the coming seasons we got to know her much better, which included seeing her through the eyes of somebody that loved her, introducing Ben Wyatt.
Ben Wyatt arrived in Pawnee to audit the town but stayed after falling for Leslie Knope and wanting to be with her. He was a really fantastic addition to the series and far outshined Paul Schneider who left the show after its second season, to the point that Mark Brandanawicz was never mentioned again after he left.
We're witness to Leslie and Ben falling in love and managing the turmoil that they face as a result of it, as well as them getting married and becoming parents without ever remembering that Ben Wyatt was ever not a part of the show. Which just shows how great Adam Scott was as Ben.
