5. The Mother - How I Met Your Mother
After 8 seasons How I Met Your Mother was finally going to introduce us to one of the most important characters to ever appear in a series, mostly because she was in the title and everything had been building up to that point.
Then we get Tracy McConnell, Cristin Milioti's titular Mother. The show faced many allegations that it should have ended sooner and went on for too long, some of which are valid points, but Milioti's introduction was supreme.
She fitted in instantly with the rest of the gang and it felt like she had been there for years. Tracy was perfect for Ted, they had a relationship 8 years in the making and it really didn't disappoint.
An actress of Milioti's abilities really gelled quickly with the likes of Neil Patrick Harris and Jason Segal, to the point where it really did seem seamless.
The finale of the show has divided opinion, with some saying that it was a fine ending to the show and other saying that it wasn't fitting for what we built up to over 9 seasons. One thing pretty much everybody agreed on was how good Tracy McConnell was as our long awaited Mother.
