7 Late Introduced TV Characters Who Totally Stole The Show
2. Alfie Solomons - Peaky Blinders
'I was on a lot of drugs, mate' - the words that all Peaky Blinders fans wanted to hear as Alfie tells Tommy of the aftermath of him shooting him.
Tom Hardy is an actor like no other at the moment, he has shifted himself into so many roles with ease that he has become an actor of noted range. Though as Alfie Solomons, he is beloved by a rabid fan-base as one of the best characters on the show. Whenever Alfie is in the room he is the best character in it, whether that involves him teasing Arthur or negotiating with Tommy, it doesn't matter because right then it's Alfie's show.
He came into Peaky Blinders in the second season and made an immediate impact as somebody just as cunning and ruthless as Tommy was, though as he would later note, Tommy has no Margate to go to, where Alfie does.
To have somebody like Tom Hardy as a supporting character in the show feels unfair to other shows, as how many other world-class actors would accept a role without being the star? Not many.
