7 Late Introduced TV Characters Who Totally Stole The Show
1. Frank Castle - The Punisher
Let's set the scene. Daredevil season 2, the first season has been a huge hit and the second promises to expand the show beyond what we have already seen. Then we get the word through, we're going to see Frank Castle.
Jaws dropped and stayed dropped when we saw The Punisher for the first time, the unrelenting anger, the blinding rage, it was all there for us on the screen. Marvel fans cheered for they had found their perfect Punisher and his name was Jon Bernthal.
He came, he saw and he blew up everything in sight. Jon Bernthal stole every single scene in Daredevil season 2, to the point where he was given his own series as a result. They are still talking about bringing back Bernthal's Punisher and with the news that we may see Charlie Cox return in Spider-Man 3 (not that one) as Daredevil, fans are holding their breath for Bernthal's return.
Recasting would be a nightmare for Disney because of how well-loved Bernthal's iteration of the character is. All of the characters in Netflix's Marvel shows were well cast to one degree or another, however, Bernthal was head and shoulders ahead of the rest.
