One other appealing aspect is that the main villain of the series is a woman. The White Witch is one of literature's most truly formidable female villains. She is conniving, intelligent, and talented at her craft. Tilda Swinton played her flawlessly in The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. Whoever is to follow her has quite a task ahead of them to nail the character, while also making the role their own.
What Narnia is missing is more in the realm of racial and LGBTQ+ representation. That can be remedied with wise casting decisions and well thought out character arcs.
