7 Reasons Why Fans Have Turned On Fear The Walking Dead

5. The Title

The Walking Dead is a great title for the parent show. Rick, the survivors and the rest of the living ARE the walking dead. The show is a journey that documents the descent of civilisation and forces characters to lose a grip on reality and adapt to the new world. The title works, but many thought AMC were in it for the money when they slapped 'Fear' at the beginning. It's a bit of a double-edged sword. If the title had been different, the show would be a spinoff but also a show in its own right and could do its own thing. Some fans feel that would've been the right way to go about a spinoff. However, disassociating itself with The Walking Dead surely wouldn't have seen the Pilot episode draw in such a high amount of viewers, meaning a lower budget, which in turn could mean the show's potential could be restricted.
