7 Reasons Why I Am Not Okay With This Season 2 Must Happen
2. It Had Perfect Balance
The balance of the story is actually darn perfect when you look at it. With Sydney's life spiralling out of control between her powers, her sexual confusion, and her school life, the show managed to give her a fully rounded and empathetic balance that lifted the world around it and made it feel real.
Sydney's problems were ubiquitous to teenagers everywhere, as well as those of you who are struggling with newfound super-powers. Her friends are not just there to support her story and are given rich and detailed backgrounds of their own.
Wyatt Oleff's Stanley Barber is a stand-out in the series, as we see his difficult relationship with his father and his obvious fear of him give him more purpose to be his own person. As the one who first knows about Sydney's abilities, he puts himself in the position between her and others, trying to give her a kind of protection that she obviously needs.
As a whole, the setting, the supporting cast, the tone and the feel of the series all fell so perfectly into one-another that she show struck a balance that other series would be jealous of.
