Apart from the four main characters, there are a lot of interesting side-ones. None seem more fun than Franklin's uncle and aunt. Unlike his mother, who's risking her life trying to do the right thing, Franklin's uncle and aunt are a totally different story.

Her mother's brother is a big, chiseled guy, who provides Franklin with marijuana to sell. He's a hustler, well respected in his neighborhood. He's a commanding character with a magnetic personality, who also looks the part.

Franklin's aunt Louie seems always out of it, but actually she's more aware of everything than she lets off. She might be watching General Hospital on the sofa, but she's ready to act whenever some money needs to be made. She's also one hell of a fighter, who used to be a real badass during her hustling days.

The couple works great as comedic relief, however their importance for the main plot can't be overlooked. Without them Franklin wouldn't be able to get into the "drug game," nor would he be protected well enough to remain in it.
