4. Rescue Me Meets The Big Bang Theory
The Big Bang Theory: A CBS sitcom following the lives of two nerds who live on the fourth floor of an apartment building , the girl who lives next door, and two more of their nerd friends. It features an odd mix of stereotypical sitcom humor and science jokes, with gratuitous references to geek culture.
Rescue Me: The FX series is about the life of a firefighter named Tommy Gavin who suffers from post-traumatic stress from his experiences during September 11th, and how he tries to balance that with keeping his job (which is all, you know, purposefully running into buildings that are actively on fire).
The Crossover: During a night of playing The Mystic Warlords of Ka'a, Sheldon and Leonard's apartment catches on fire, trapping both of them and their two friends Howard and Raj inside, four stories up. Tommy Gavin is visiting California for a while and is the first one to spot the flames coming from the building. Realizing there are people trapped in the apartment and the local firemen won't arrive in time, Gavin must rescue them himself.
