2. Orange Is The New Black: Will The Prisoners Return To Litchfield?
The fifth season of Orange is the New Black was a chaotic roller coaster ride of prison riots and hostage situations that culminated in a swat team storming Litchfield Penitentiary after the guards lost control of the facility.
With the dust from this incident still settling, many of the inmates were divided up and placed on separate busses, which were no doubt on their way to other prisons. Meanwhile, most of the main cast including Alex, Piper, Taystee, Nicky and Red are holed up in a bunker with armed troops closing in.
It seems unlikely that the bunker standoff will end in a hail of bullets, considering the majority of the main characters are in there. Most likely they will be rounded up and divided between those coaches like the other prisoners, but whether they will ever return to their cells in Litchfield is a good question to ask.
By the end of the season, the prison has collapsed, but whether that's a permanent collapse remains to be seen. Since prison overcrowding is such a hot topic in the US, other facilities would no doubt struggle to house the Litchfield overspill, so the pressure to reopen the prison down the line would be immense.
