8 Doctor Who Companions Who Should Make A Return

If you were to look at all the companions that The Doctor has chosen to travel with over the years, you may begin to spot a pattern. Almost all of them are human! Why not mix things up while also providing a bit of fan service to classics fans and bring back Kamelion for an adventure. For those not aware, Kamelion was an android that travelled with the Fifth Doctor.

While Nardole was a cyborg, Kamelion is a true android and even looks the part. Originally the character was introduced as a pawn of The Master. The Doctor helped Kamelion break free of The Master's command and then invited him to join him in the TARDIS. His adventures came to a close however when he fell to The Master again, and upon Kamelion's request, The Doctor destroyed him. Of course, in classic Doctor Who fashion this was not the last of Kamelion, and he reappeared in novels and audio dramas alike.

If all of this wasn't enough however, Kamelion possessed the ability to transform his appearance at will, making him a shapeshifter. Not only would this make him an incredibly useful ally to The Doctor, but it would also mean that a range of different actors could portray Kamelion in his different forms. Guest stars of the show could even take turns playing Kamelion, really expanding the possibilities for storytelling.

Unfortunately, Kamelion is arguably the least likely on this list to return to the show, which is a real shame.
