8 Fantasy TV Cross-Overs We Need To See

3. Mulder and Scully (The X Files) Solve The Mystery Of The Black Lodge (Twin Peaks)

url-1 I was desperate for Mulder and Scully to find their way to Twin Peaks, investigating the disappearance of Agent Cooper and the mysteries of the Black Lodge. If there was any show that cold have done that, it would have been The X Files. (They could have even found a way to tie in David Duchovny's Twin Peaks character, the cross dressing FBI agent Denis/Denise!) Several young girls have been murdered. Visions of a frightening killer called Bob that possesses people. Dreams of a red room where a backwards talking dwarf speaks of future events to come. Its the perfect starting point for the intrepid FBI agents. Scully the skeptic as always, believing the murders to be the work of a very human serial killer. Mulder, learning that the owls are not what they seem, listens to the missing Dale Cooper's recordings and begining to piece together discussions with the local populace about the Black Lodge and finding a way to get there. Perhaps an encounter with the evil Dale Cooper, possessed by Bob and a desperate chase into the forests at night, Scully left behind as Mulder enters the Black Lodge, faces the haunted spirit of Laura Palmer and rescues the real Dale Cooper. It would have been brilliant. And you know what? The twenty five years from now spoken of in Dale Cooper's dreams is almost up. What better way to bring back both The X Files and Twin Peaks then by using that as the focus for a follow up mini-series? Who wouldn't want that?
