8 Great Characters Marvel And DC's TV Shows Have Completely Screwed Up
2. Peggy Carter
Following her appearance in Captain America: The First Avenger and the Agent Carter One-Shot, fans were keen to see more of Peggy Carter, but was a TV the best idea? Based on the way things have played out so far, I would say no. While the show isn't exactly bad, it's pretty underwhelming, and two seasons of her adventures have so far done nothing to really shed any light on how she ended up being a founder of S.H.I.E.L.D. Instead, the series has glossed over Peggy's grief over the loss of Steve Rogers, thrown in some familiar names and faces, and got bogged down in the character's transition from fighting during WWII to one day creating that peacekeeping task force. Seeing that now would have been much more interesting, but the longer Agent Carter portrays Peggy "between jobs", the more damage it will do to her as a fan-favourite.
