8 Heroes Most Likely To Die During Crisis On Infinite Earths

2. 'Kingdom Come' Superman

Given that Crisis on Infinite Earths will feature not one, not two, but three incarnations of Superman, it seems a safe bet to say that at least one of these Men of Steel will end up paying the ultimate price during Crisis.

To break it down a little further, Crisis will see Tyler Hoechlin reprising his Arrowverse Superman, Brandon Routh will be playing a battered-down Kingdom Come version of Superman in a nice nod to the role he played in Superman Returns, and Tom Welling will be picking up his Smallville role of Superman.

Already, we know that Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch will be spearheading a Superman & Lois show that’s due to start production early next year, so that effectively rules of that particular Big, Blue Boy Scout.

With Smallville and Welling so beloved amongst genre fans, it may not be the wisest of moves to kill of that iteration of Kal-El – plus it would completely kill those persistent fan rumblings of somehow having a Smallville return – which leaves Routh’s Kingdom Come Supes as the prime Super-candidate to be offed during Crisis.

In the original Crisis on Infinite Earths comic arc, Supergirl was actually one of the many heroes who ended up dead. There’s no way that The CW would kill off Melissa Benoist’s Maid of Might at this stage, meaning that if any Super-heads are rolling, it’ll likely be the Superman of Kingdom Come fame.
