Spock is the ultimate cult figure for sci-fi fans, to such a degree that Leonard Nimoy recalls teenage fans seeking his advice on current cultural events a good ten years after the show's cancellation - a surefire sign that a character has made the leap from TV phenomenon to cultural icon. Still, sacred cow or not, all that constant fretting over logic and the chilly analysis of the human condition would wear a bit thin on karaoke night down The Dog And Duck, would it not?
