1. Skyler White
For those unfamiliar with Breaking Bad, Skyler is the wife of chemistry teacher turned drug lord Walter White. She is also one of the most phenomenally hated TV characters of modern times. How much of this is down to the character of Skyler and how much is the viewer projecting their own feelings about headstrong women and nagging wives is debatable. One thing that can be taken into account, however, is that Carmella Soprano and Mad Men's Betty Draper were both also put-upon wives who were vocal towards their wayward antihero hubbies, and neither inspired the depth of feeling that Skyler does. Loath her or dislike her somewhat, few seem to like her. It's probably the shrillness. God, that would be hard to live with.
