8 Luckiest Game Of Thrones Characters

1. Ramsay Bolton

Tyrion Blackwater
HBO

This recently legitimized bastard may as well be made of Teflon.

The sadist formerly known as Snow may be a secondary character in the show’s run to date but the few moments we’ve shared with him have proven to be unsettling, hard to watch and in terms of payoff, completely unsatisfying.

Unlike Jon Snow’s natural feeling luck, Ramsay is definitely standing under the same kind of peril umbrella that Brienne is standing under. To qualify that, Joffrey was almost unscathed and acted with impunity until his death. Geography was the buffer between his actions and their consequences. Ramsay feels more writer protected.

While he more legitimately tortured safely in the confines of the Dreadfort, he has been subject to and instigator of incursion, with absolutely no danger even implied. The most glaring evidence of this feeling of protection comes from the Battle against Stannis’ host for Winterfell.

He is a grinning demon of needless suffering and I can’t help but speculate that he is being saved for something very special in the coming seasons. As it stands, his luck has at least lost momentum with the death of his equally deranged consort. I do predict yet more elaborate shenanigans from this one though, so prepare for sickness.
