6. Each Season Is Fresh

If you're worried that a show as heavy as this has nowhere to go after the first season, you'd be wrong. Lindelof cleverly uproots the Garvey family each season, introducing new conflicts and characters into the mix that make each season of the show feel distinctly unique and different.

Season One is set in a New York town targeted by the Guilty Remnant, Season Two moves to Texas in a town that was spared from the Sudden Departure, and Season Three relocates again to Australia.

Each relocation feels natural and narratively justifiable so don't worry about this becoming gimmicky. The show is never given the chance to get stale because we are constantly being introduced to new ideas and scenarios that will stop you from getting bored. The focus is always on the Garveys and how they react to new and exciting situations, so the forward momentum of the location shuffling manages to achieve this with ease.
