8 Star Wars Projects We Can't Wait To See In 2023
3. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
When it was announced that EA would have the exclusive rights to the Star Wars franchise in 2013, many fans were furious and disappointed, given the game publisher's less than ideal track record of favouring monetisation over optimisation.
Much to the surprise of everyone, 2019's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was a runaway success, proving that EA are able to make high quality single player games. The game followed Cal Kestis, a young Jedi who survived Order 66, on a galaxy-wide quest to rebuild the Jedi Order. Along the way, Cal would have constant run-ins with the Empire, taking on Inquisitors and even face Darth Vader, all tied together in a gripping story. So, it is fair to say that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has a lot to live up to.
Luckily, Cal Kestis actor Cameron Monaghan has promised Survivor will build off Fallen Order in every way. In an interview with StarWars.com, Monaghan said, " This game is really ambitious in how much it is furthering and progressing not only the gameplay elements from Jedi: Fallen Order, but also furthering the story and the characters as well.”
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will release for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and Windows PC on 17 March.
