8 Star Wars Projects We Can't Wait To See In 2023

Easily Disney's most successful Star Wars project, the third season of The Mandalorian will land on our screens on 1 March after the show's two-year hiatus.

The season is gearing up to take Din Djarin and Grogu to the scarred world of Mandalore, after the Empire left it in ruins in the Night of a Thousand Tears. It is also rumoured that the series will delve deeper into the story of the Imperial remnants, with the likes of Supreme Leader Snoke's Praetorian Guards potentially showing up, as well as the return of Giancarlo Esposito as the moustache-twirling Moff Gideon.

During an interview with ET Online, Esposito revealed that Gideon is currently locked up in a New Republic jail cell, but his story isn't over yet.

As the actor explained, “Yes, it’s assumed he is behind bars. I think we could have an opportunity to see him escape those chains that bind him. We want to see a guy who is a mastermind who has an idea for the future that no one else has. And so, we want to know what that is and we want to know if that’s good or bad."

If the previous two seasons are anything to go off, the third will undoubtedly once again bring the magic of Star Wars that The Mandalorian has come to be known for.
